And now... Number 1: the Larch
The distinguishing charactaristics of the Larch include its vertical, needle-covered branches. In the fall, it can be fairly easily distinguished from other conifers because it is desiduous rather than evergreen, and so it will have orange rather than green needles. This is the ideal time for spotting them from rather far away.
